"There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you."
"Your vision will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes."
"Opportunities to find deeper powers within ourselves come when life seems most challenging."
"It is only because of problems that we grow mentally and spiritually."
M. Scott Peck
“I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become.”
Life can be difficult. Loss, in its many forms, is a part of life, but sometimes we get stuck and confused and need someone to help us along the journey. There is hope and light on the other side of the darkness. I provide individual psychotherapy and psychological evaluations for adults and treat a variety of psychological issues including depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, bipolar disorder, family of origin issues, relationship problems and grief. I have additional training in end of life, grief and bereavement.
Life is full of challenges and opportunities for growth. I enjoy working with people who are going through life transitions and looking to live more authentic, fulfilling lives. On our journey together, I hope to help you become connected to your authentic self and to recognize the roadblocks and choices that can prevent or advance you along the path to obtaining your greater potential.
Life is full of change. No one can deny that things do not stay the same. At times, these changes are hard to accept. Even positive events can cause stress. These can be times of renewal and understanding as you search for the underlying meaning.
Life is meant to be shared. I think that therapy is about sharing your real life story and knowing another person wants to listen, without judgment, to your whole story. We are all human beings walking a similar road, I would like the opportunity to walk that road with you.
I would be honored to work with you in your quest for better psychological health. Please call or email me to set up a time for an initial consultation.
